Print to PDF from Firefox

Post by henryg » Sun Oct 15, 2017 2:38 pm

If I print to pdf (Foxit or PDF24) from Firefox (v57b8) I get blank pages, but if I do the same from Chrome (latest release version) all prints ok. Same sandbox, same web pages, same session. Both browsers are 64 bit versions.

I would like to print to pdf from Firefox as it is my primary browser. Any suggestions please?

dont print from firefox in sandboxie ^^

i got blank pages in beta7 - outside sandboxie - so i assume a firefox issue.
create a new profile and try outside sandboxie to reproduce the issue.

chrome is a bad comparison - its printing routine is complete different.

I believe I was the first to report this months ago. I use Acrobat Pro DC and the only way around it at least for now is to change settings within FF itself.
If you on latest FF 56.0

about:config

Switch security.sandbox.content.level from 3 to 2
Close Firefox
Relaunch and re-try printing.

Sandboxie is amazon and I wouldn't go without it now, so hopefully dev is working on that and few other issues e.g. audio :D

I changed this some time ago after advice from Bard, and prompltly forgot all about it; and why. When I just checked the setting was back to 3, which I now realise was because I created a new prefs.js a few days ago to clean out old extension settings.

Many thanks.
