Lastpass 4 seems to lock up browsers with SB

Post by RodLaird » Fri Feb 26, 2016 1:29 am

I am doing fine on my Surface Pro 4 with Lastpass and Firefox/Chrome. But on my main desktop machine, I still have not able to run with Sandboxie enabled; the browsers just hang....

Lastpass 4.1.2a
Firefox 44.0.2

Do I do some more procmon dumps?

Rod

I'm not sure what could be the issue.

Is it 2FA you're running?

We can't recreate the issue. I've yet to see it in any sort of testing and we've not had any but a few issues out of....a lot of SBIE users. Including myself on every VM test machine, using 2FA (Yubi and Google Auth)

It must be something with that desktop, as you mentioned the SP 4 is working (which is good, those things have a reputation.)

If you want to send it in .pml format, please do.

Thanks so much Craig. I know this is irritating. All works fine on my Surface pro 3 - but not at all well on this desktop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and SB to no avail. This is a hex core machine - but that's about the only real difference. Both are x64 W10.

Anyway, attached is a pml for the following conditions
- run procmon with filters for sb and firefox
- load firefox (with SB)
- wait until Yubikey 2FA window opens
- wait until procmon shows no more messages from firefox - clear procmen
- press finger to Yubikey - firefox hangs...
- save linked pml.... [https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/461 ... ogfile.zip]

it's 450kB - so your attachment system rejects it...

Not sure whether this is related, but whenever I try to upgrade SBIE, i get a "cannot write License.txt" error and the install fails. I change the SBIE directory and it works; once.

Surely this sort of error should not be occurring at all?
