I have quick recovery for certain folders, including "My Documents". I just created a subfolder called "Thunderbird" & moved my default profile to it. When I open Thunderbird in Sandboxie, I get all these messages about downloading various files to my Thunderbird subfolder.
I would like to keep quick recovery for my main "My Documents" folder, but make an exception for the Thunderbird subfolder. Is this possible?
Thank you,
Phil
Can I make an exception to a subfolder for quick recovery

Re: Can I make an exception to a subfolder for quick recovery
Thank you so much for your quick reply. I'm still a little confused & hope you can help me.
I looked in my Sandboxie.ini file & found these entries:
ConfigLevel=7
AutoRecover=y
RecoverFolder=C:\Download
RecoverFolder=%Personal%
RecoverFolder=%Desktop%
Enabled=y
Template=Thunderbird
Later, it said:
Tmpl.Thunderbird.phil=C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\MyProfile.default
If I move my Thunderbird profile to a subfolder "Thunderbird" in the Data folder & if I change that last line to:
Tmpl.Thunderbird.phil=C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\MyProfile.default
And also add:
AutoRecoverIgnore=C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\MyProfile.default
will this accomplish my purpose? I still want to get all my downloaded mail & settings in my Thunderbird profile. I just want to do it automatically, the way it does now.
Or will I have to exclude my Data folder from quick recovery?
Thank you again for your time,
Phil

Re: Can I make an exception to a subfolder for quick recovery
Hello phrab,
Here's how to set up the folder exclusion via GUI, (add the desired folder and let us know if you encounter any issues):
https://www.sandboxie.com/RecoverySettings#immediate
We do have a guide for setting up email clients to work with Sandboxie, please have a look:
