[.10] Printing problems on 64-bit Windows 8

Post by tzuk » Mon Sep 23, 2013 9:03 am

There was an issue where a 32-bit program running in the sandbox was not able to print,

if any 32-bit program outside the sandbox has already requested printing at some earlier point.

This was partially fixed in version .09 and should be improved in version .10.

Big issues with Chrome (v29.0.1547.76). Both Ctrl+P (built-in Chrome printing dialog) and Ctrl+Shift+P (the system printing dialog) work very sporadically, fails with "selected printer unavailable" message very often. Printer is HP LaserJet CP1025nw.

Note: Without using the HP Universal Print Driver compatibility setting (the universal driver is not being used, but apparently the printer specific one is similar crap) it just never works in Chrome -- but no issue with other 32bit sandboxed apps. :?:  :?

I see that, yes. I hope you will be able to confirm that version .11, which I will release soon, fixes this problem.

Thank you for the quick confirmation.

Also thanks for your Positive Review post, and I apologize but I had to remove the image with explicit language.
