Missing folders within Resource Access [SOLVED]
Missing folders within Resource Access [SOLVED]
Sorry, but it's hard for me to find the right information on the forum, because my english bad. My problem is that when you set up direct access in explorer, there are no disks except the desktop, that is, I can not store my sands anywhere except the disk on which the system and the folder created by the program itself is installed. This happened after installation a new version of the sand, but now any version I downloaded has this problem.

Re: Disks access
Hello Veace,
You can create your Sandbox anywhere you like.
Access Sandboxie Control ---> Sandbox --> Set Container Folder
Choose the desired location.
Regarding Direct Access, can you please provide more details about what have you set up and what are you trying to do?
What are your OS, Antivirus and Sandboxie versions?
Regards,
Barb.-

Re: Disks access
How i did it before, i created sand, storage folder was the C:\Sandbox\%USER%\%SANDBOX% ,then i go to the sandbox settings - resources access - file access - direct access and add a folder with the software on the disk D to save disk space on ssd, but now when i try add a folder to direct access i can specify files only from desktop, stop showing up all disks.

Hello Veace,
Is this what you are seeing? (Check the first post)
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=23860&p=125807&hil ... rs#p125496
If so, can you try fully removing Sandboxie with the Sandboxie installer, then re-installing it?
Can you navigate your folders (outisde SBIE) in Windows Explorer? Are you using any special permissions for your drives , or any third party software?
If all fails, try disabling your Antivirus protection and reinstall Sandboxie, see if that allows the folders to show up.
Regards,
Barb.-

Re: Disks access
Yes, the situation is identical to the post you wrote. I removed the sand, rebooted, disconnected all the antivirus protection, and installed the sand again. The problem has not disappeared, seems to be there are no special permissions for disks, and I can safely navigate through folders.

Re: Disks access
Hello Veace,
What else changed when the issue started happening? Any driver updates? Resolution changes?
Try to right-click on "Desktop" and see if you can you select "Collapse" and/or "Expand" to make folders re-appear.
What happens if you click on "Make Folder"?
Does the issue occur for other Windows accounts? Is your account admin?
Can you make sure that when you remove Sandboxie completely, you also rename the Sandboxie folder in Program Files to Sandboxie.old. Also, when you reinstall, do not import your old settings.
In the meantime, you can manually add the Direct Access folders by modifying the Sandboxie.ini file (Sandbox Control --> Configure --> Edit configuration)

Re: Disks access
Sorry for the long delay, diploma) I did everything on your advice, but the problem did not disappear, and editing the sandboxie.ini is not very convenient. As a result, I found a recovery point for windows where everything is alright with version 5.18, but the point itself is very broken, so tell me all the program files that I need to back up.
Re: Disks access
I finally fixed it, you know how? Returned Windows to its original state, now it all works
Re: Disks access
UPD: The real reason why the sandboxie explorer not correctly displayed files is too many icons on the desktop and that's all, god... You can close the topic, it's trully works like that. You can see for yourself.

Re: Disks access
Hello Veace,
I have narrowed it down to 79 Desktop icons (or more). You can have up to 78 and still see the list (at least on Windows 10 CU x64) .
I am not sure if this is Windows related, still need to check other resolutions, etc... or Sandboxie related, I made the devs aware.
I'll update this thread if new info becomes available.
