Unfortunately (according with my experience) the clipboard does not work in Sandboxie 4.18.
What you write applies to the previous version 4.16. I have learned about it by another user and so I also "downgraded" now from 4.18 to 4.16. Here indeed you can ignore the error messages as the clipboard still works.

This has nothing to do with the clipboard changes in 4.18. Some applications have clipboard issues in 4.18 that were fixed in 4.19.1. Windows has changed something dealing with integrity levels and the clipboard. I haven't tested it, but this code has been around at least since 4.0.

@ Curt@invincea:

O.k. Whatever the reasons may be. But the fact is (at least on my computer and the computer of another user) that with version 4.16 (plus installed Windows update KB3057839) you can still perform copy and paste* (despite of the error message) whereas in 4.18 it is impossible. So perhaps the downgrade may be a workaround for other users too until the problem is fixed.

- at least from the browser into the browser (tested with Firefox)
- but not from the browser into Microsoft Word (tested with Word 2002)

Correct. The clipboard works with Firefox in 4.18 and 4.19.1. I have hidden the SBIE2205 error.

I'm using Win7Pro64 AMD APU3800 w/ PaleMoon 25.5 browser (FF fork w/latest update June10), SBIE4.16, and get the error msg pop-up but the clipboard still works. I'll remove offending update patch and replace it after the fix - thanks.

Beta 4.19.2 has been released that fixes the SBIE2205.

If there are any other clipboard issues, now we be a good time to address them since I am in that code for this fix anyway. :D

Thanks

The most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow elevation of privilege if an attacker logs on to the system and runs a specially crafted application. Are you sure is KB3057839?

Yep, with latest beta 4.19.2 'SBIE2205 Service not implemented: CloseClipboard C0000058' does not show up any longer.

hi,

(longtime lifetime license user from germany here) I've always been happy with sandboxie. Yesterday, the clipboard-error-problem with SBIE0225 started on my computer. Too tired to search. Today, less than 12 hours later, found the solution already waiting for me (4.19-2). Back to happiness again.

Great work, many thanks!

Hmm... "SBIE2205 Service not implemented: Clipboard MetaFile (fmt 0003 sz 24)" or "SBIE2205 nx <something>" appeared for me, but now I don't remember what I did exactly

My clipboard isn't working, either. I am experimenting with uninstalling the specified Windows update. Thanks for this information! Geoff
