How do you exactly setup forced folders. If i put a shortcut of a program in forced folder and i click open on shortcut will then that program open in sandboxie.

Yes it will start in the defaultbox if that's one configured to run your program. You can create another sandbox to run your program alternatively.

Hi Plerian, Forced programs and Forced folders are features that get unlocked when you purchase your Sandboxie license . To setup a program as a Forced program, you go to:

Sandbox settings>Program start>Forced programs.

There, you click "Add program" to add the executable for the program that you want to Force to run sandboxed automatically when you click on files that are set to be open by that program. For example, if you add firefox.exe, Firefox will run sandboxed automatically in that sandbox when you click on the Firefox icon or links in programs that are not running sandboxed. Another example, if Foxit reader is your default PDF Reader and you add foxit reader.exe as a forced program, whenever you click on a PDF file, the PDF will run sandboxed in that sandbox.

For Forced folders, you go to:

Sandbox settings>Program start>Forced folders

There, you click "Add folder" to add folders that you like to set as Forced folders. You can use this feature to add folders like your Downloads folder, USB drives, DVD drives. Once you force a folder, programs and files that run out of there, will run sandboxed automatically when they are executed.
