Did you update the template

Hi Billie. The problem you are having is caused by references to Smart screen in your Sandboxie config file. This were added during beta 5.21. To fix the problem, you need to either delete this references to Smart screen, so the sandbox you are using now goes back to working properly, or create a new sandbox, and use this sandbox instead of the old sandbox. What would you rather do? Do you know how to create a new sandbox? Do you know how to edit the Sandboxie config file?

You probably know this, but I didn't see it reported in this beta thread. The error:
SBIE2205 Service not implemented: CreateDesktop
is still occurring with Firefox Quantum 58.0b4.
Portable Apps doesn't have the beta 6 yet, so the issue might be fixed on the Firefox side when I get that.
Please let me know what I can do to help. I love this product. I'm not a dev, but I know some sysadmin stuff.

Barb, thanks for the response and the link.
It may not be a specific beta issue, but the larger issue (first MS Office, now Firefox) of doing things that break user efforts to manually sandbox, that may be an issue to look at. Of course, it may be impossible. I really hope not. Sandboxie is more than just "security" from malicious outside attackers. I also us it to protect myself from poorly written application: I install them and can delete them if I want, without a ton of junk left littered about, and I can more cleanly terminate misbehaving processes. So I really like to run applications in Sandboxie.
Maybe we need to change the name to PlaygroundIE, a Sandbox of Sandboxes.
I'm not a programmer, let alone a kernel coder, so I don't know what the challenges are. But I'm happy to pitch in with what I can.

Hello RonR,
I cannot repro the issue.
Any chance you are not using the QWAVE template?
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=24613#p128956
If QWAVEdrv is indeed enabled, please provide this info:
Are you using any Antivirus software?
Was this site working for you before upgrading to beta 5.23.1 ?
Do other sites work fine in Chrome?
Can you please try a new Sandbox with default settings and see if the issue occurs there as well?
Are there any Chrome extensions involved?
Regards,
Barb.-

Any chance you are not using the QWAVE template?
There's no description available for the SBIE2101 error and I don't find any QWAVE option in Sandboxie settings.
I recently installed Chrome and it appears Sandboxie failed to add:
Template=qWave
to Sandboxie.ini.
I had to create a new sandbox to identify the missing line.
Manually adding it to my existing Sandbox.ini appears to fix the problem.
